We always enjoy this little gem! This was our 3rd visit to the restaurant. We always get the Gyro plate/sandwich every time we go, and wash it down with a fresh Italian Soda. (They have many flavored to pick from). They usually have a great Lunch special going too. The staff is pleasant and you can choose to dine inside their cozy dining area or enjoy the sounds of their fountain in the outside patio. It is tucked away in a back corner of the strip mall, but nicely decorated inside and out. Enjoy their Tiramisu, coffee, espresso, teas, or any of their desserts after a meal. The prices are reasonable and the quality of food is great!

Great affordable menu with a huge variety! I ordered the gyro plate with hummus as the side. There was more than enough food and it was good! The tzatziki sauce was very mild and not as thick in consistency as I am accustomed, but was flavorful. The hummus was delicious! The pitas were fresh and warm! Overall a wonderful experience.

A very pleasant restaurant and coffee shop that should be on your go to restaurant list, I would have given it 4-1/2 stars if I could. Mondays are their Gyro plate specials which are Great! We've also had lamb kebabs with curried rice which was also very good. In fact we've not had a dish that was sub par in any way, including deserts. They have free wifi for those choosing to sip coffee and surf the web. The place is generally quite and the 4 TV's are on mute with sub titles to read whats going on; so you can carry on a conversation. Lots of outdoor seating w/ heaters for cooler weather. All in all I highly recommend this place.

Always a great place to eat Mediterranean food. Open late, affordable price for a good healthy meal. Very good selection of dessert. Highly recommended

Had the baba ghanoush, which I've never had so I don't have a reference point. Was a little tart for my taste, which is probably how it's supposed to be, but I still enjoyed it. Tiramisu was strongly flavored and moist, but icy in the middle.

It does depend on what you have here. For instance, after visiting ID mostly for lunch or dinner, I had breakfast there recently. It was the worst bagel I've ever had in my life. It was so bad, I wanted to cry. It was gummy mush. It was like white bread in the shape of a bagel. However, when I go for lunch or dinner, I am never disappointed. I tend to order chicken in some form and it's always wonderful. In general, I have to take half my meal home, there is so much food. The hummus is always fresh and tasty. The orange slices are always sweet, never sour. I would love to know where they get their oranges. The iced coffee is always good, too.

Dinner tonight 7-18-2012 was disgusting to say the least. My husband ordered the Mousaka .It was a dried out cheese topping that was inedible. He brought to the waitstaffs attention.I had ordered the baked chicken .Terrible!Way over cooked and the chicken bones were a black color indicating it was an oldchicken!Rice was dry and flavorless.I do not reccomend anyone dining here.

This is a nice relaxing place. When the weather is nice it is great to sit outsides. The food is good is good and the store has some great treasures.

I am still curious as to how Las Cruces manages to have so many good Greek restaurants. Although International Delight's hummus is not as delicious as Santorini's, I would say that the schwarma/gyro meat is far better. We ordered a hummus+falalfel sandwich and a schwarma gyro. Schwarma gyro was perfectly spiced with a good serving of meat. The hummus was..eh. Falafel, on the other hand, was spot on. It was not overly deep fried, had good texture, and kept well. I hate biting into a falafel and having it break apart instantly. It's worth mentioning that you are able to buy falafel mix that the cafe uses at their international grocery store (located a few feet from cafe entrance). Price was reasonable. The veggie sandwich plus side salad was ~$7. Gyros are a bit more expensive at ~$8-9. I definitely will need to try the Turkish coffee plus some baklava in the future. Environment: Ive been here twice now and have never seen more then perhaps...4 other tables occupied. Service is quick and seating is plentiful. They have a nice outdoor patio that I always take advantage of. Grocery store: Stopped by and got some super hot looking pepper sauce ($3.50) and imported chocolate from Croatia. ($3.29) I was really disappointed with the chocolate. It appeared that it had been on the shelf far too long and had oxidized quite a bit.

Terrible service! The gyro came out burnt the first time and then mushy like chewed meat the second time. The ahole younger guy at the front always has an attitude and needs to be fired. Lost a long time customer. ..!

I thought service was decent. I had the schwarma wrap and Turkish coffee. I feel Like the coffee was really oversaturated and it always tasted a bit nasty at the end of every cup. The meat in my schwarma was delicious and their salad was fresh. Except I dislike how there was little meat in my schwarma wrap and a lot of salad. Overall I feel it was worth the price and a good place to study.

The only thing that saves this from being one star is the fact that the food tastes pretty good. But for 750 I got this tiny ass little pita that's supposed to be a chicken shwarma wrap. Maybe it's my fault for being an out-of-towner, but this is some bullshit. Good thing I'll never have to go back again. Seriously this sandwich couldn't have more than about 3 ounces of chicken a few pieces of tomato and some lettuce and dressing. Damn near $8!

Yesterday was the first time I had ever been here and I had a very pleasant experience. It brought back a lot of memories from when I was in Europe. Great friendly staff. Amazing food. Enjoyed the atmosphere.

International, yes....Delight, NO! We ordered the pastrami sandwich and the chicken shawarma. The pastrami was not real pastrami but the pressed meat type out of a package. It was exactly 3 slices and when we questioned the amount, were told that was the "recipe....3 slices placed on the grill and heated." The chicken Shawarma looked about 3 oz of chicken, in tiny pieces very greasy. The babaganouj was bland maybe out of a can too....not sure. I have eaten middle eastern food all my life, every Sunday in the basement of church made by Lebanese women from Lebanon. I know good food. Go to Santorini or Tiffany's. Stay away unless you don't mind overspending for your food and not getting good flavor. The server was extremely nice as well as the person at the counter.

I came in here the other day and was a bit disappointed .... I had a huge craving for stuffed grape leaves, so ID cafe was the first place that came to mind ... now I wasn't disappointed with the quality of the grape leaves ... just the cost for what I got. As I remember, the last time I ordered grape leaves here, it came with a bit of hummus and pita ... somewhat justifying the $5 paid for it ( 5 grape leaves) ... well now it comes with 5 grape leaves and that is it .... $1 a GL ... is kind of ridiculous ... I mean, I get them for 50 cents at central market in PA and amazingly ... 30 cents a piece at Giorgios in Ft. Lauderdale ( this was 3 years ago, but still) I am still a fan of ID cafe because they do offer good food... but I won't be ordering grape leaves again ... here anyway

When I am in Las Cruces, I love to come here with friends and have a dessert or some food. They have some delicious mediterranean food including the pita and hummus. Their Morrocan iced tea is good and contains pine nuts. I've never had a dessert that I didn't like there. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Dog friendly! We like to dine in the patio area where dogs are allowed. As mentioned by others, it's a nice change from the usual chain and fast food restaurants.

Love this place.... It's actually one of the few places in Las Cruces that is open late. Plus the food there is delish!

This is a great find after 3 tries in the south end of Las Cruces. I come down here every once in a while and until spotting this in the back corner of Albertson's shoppette, had struck out for eating in Las Cruces. It has a large welcoming outdoor covered patio, two dining areas indoors (one with a TV and one without), and a very large bakery in addition to the order at the counter middle eastern menu. Particularly good was the lentil soup and the Turkish Coffee. Both were great, actually. I also had a very very good tabouli which had a lot of parsley and lemon and a smaller amt of bulghur wheat grains than the ones I have had before. This is a definite return. The staff was very very nice.

So I'm working on getting all caught up with my reviews. We popped into this place for breakfast a few weeks ago while we were still settling in after the move. I feel a little bad giving them only three stars, because I think this place has a LOT more potential than that, but I can only review what I experienced. I'm always on the look out for out of the ordinary food experiences, and the Eastern European/Middle Eastern theme of this restaurant really appealed to me. Unfortunately, it just didn't really work for me as a breakfast spot. The breakfast menu was pretty limited, especially in terms of proteins. I'm the kind of person that doesn't want to load up on carbs first thing in the morning. But if you're looking for a pastry or something along those lines, this place has a wonderful selection. I ordered an omelet with feta cheese and olives. The proportions were just way off to me. Way too many olives, way too little cheese, in way too small an omelet. The olives and feta together were just way too salty and overpowered the eggs entirely. The iced chai tea I had with it was excellent though, as was the apple tart that my wife and I split. Overall I would just say, don't come here for breakfast. Come here for coffee. Come here for a pastry. Come here for the (much more varied) lunch and dinner offerings. That's what I plan to do in the future. I hope I will be able to revisit this review soon and revise it upwards. I think there is a lot of potential in this place. I just ordered the wrong thing at the wrong time of day.

I love International Delights! Some of my favorites are the grilled chicken salad with fetah added on the side and the gyro plate. I also love the sampler Mezzah plate with hummus, grape leaves, tabbouleh, and ban ganoush. Yum!

International Delights has become my go-to spot if I'm in the Las Cruces area. Solid Middle Eastern/Greek Food, reliable & fast wifi, good coffee, plenty of seating and outlets for my laptop, decent pastry (but not the baklava). I had a late breakfast there recently and ordered a basic eggs scrambled with feta, potatoes, toast & fruit. Solid and the eggs came with so much feta folded in that it was pretty much a feta omelet.

This place is meh, ok. The atmosphere is nice, trendy and a cool place to hang out with friends. The food on the other hand is..below average. I was not impressed with the food at all and everything was overpriced for what it was. Their servings are small, and not very good. If you get dragged there by your friends just order a desert and call it good.

Came here during a visit to LC because Yelp reviews were good. Whoops! Big mistake. I have eaten in many Greek / Mediterranean restaurants and this lands on the bottom of my list. First the positive: Plenty of patio space, clean tables, friendly cashier, the hummus was good as was the pita bread. They also have a cool collection of hookas. Now the negative: Gyro meat was dry, dry dry, one step away from jerky. The tabouli (tabbouleh) salad was hard parsley and not much of anything else. Yes, I know it is a parsley dish, but I have never seen this type of parsley tabouli. I felt like I was eating cactus. There were DOZENS of FLIES all around us. We had to keep swatting them away from our food and faces. It was disgusting! The Greek salad tasted weird and the cheese tasted off. The lack of decor/ old tables and chairs did not make it inviting. Well, at least we gave it a try... won't be coming back here, though.

I love this place. Period. My whole family eats here, young kids and all. The food is delish and hearty. I generally get the #24 (gyro sandwich) with hummus. This place is ALWAYS packed but the wait is short. There are many great places to sit, indoors or out, and soccer games on big flat-screens. There is a college-vibe to this place, maybe for the free wi-fi. After you eat, stroll a couple doors down to their great grocery store and pick up some random things you'd never find at Albertson's or Wal-Mart.

The food at International Delights is good but not the best Greek food found in Las Cruces. The gyro meat, pitas, and falafel were delicous, but I have had better Greek salads, and better tzatziki sauce. I would visit the restaurant again.

For a town like Las Cruces this place is a pleasant change. Pretty good selection of middle eastern food (owner is Algerian, but they serve kind of a mixture of various middle eastern items) and some very good pastries and desserts.. They also have espresso drinks.. This is not far from New Mexico State University and is a nice place to hang out and study while you sip on cappucinos and eat hummus or whatever.. And they are open quite late, until an hour when the other choices in town are pretty much Village Inn and Sonic... Salads are their weak point, I always thought the salads here were quite inferior to those served in many other middle eastern (e.g. Palestinian, Lebanese) places that I have tried. Otherwise I think the food is in general pretty decent. The atmosphere is very nice.

The food continues to be excellent here and the service is good, but the portions are ridiculously small and get smaller while the prices continue to be expensive. I had the gyros plate today with French fries. A tiny portion of meat and maybe 20 fries, all for about $13. I'm done with International Delights. I understand they need to pay their rent, I just don't think it's fair that I pay their rent in one meal. Absolutely the worst value in town.

While visiting Las Cruces my friend, who lives there, and I went here for lunch. I got the falafel wrap sandwich with a side of fries and my friend got the basic gyro sandwich. My friend thought his gyro was pretty good aside from over cooking the meat. My wrap was pretty good, but as with my friend's wrap, my falafel was a bit over cooked. Being vegan, I asked that the yogurt sauce be replaced with their homemade hummus which was a good call in my eyes (even for the extra $1 charge). Their hummus was good and a generous serving was provided. The fries were okay. Not salted enough for me, though they did have it seasoned with chili powder and paprika and they were shoestring which i prefer to thick cut fries. The service was quick, the price was reasonable, the outdoor seating on a nice day was perfect, the store attached to the restaurant and given that it is in Las Cruces were all sufficient enough to give this restaurant 4 stars. Definitely worth the experience.

Consistently great food! Like nothing else in Las Cruces, with a large selection of Mediterranean cuisine. The patio is pleasant and the interior is a great place to catch a soccer (football) match! This restaurant is one of the gems in Las Cruces! Update: Recently I have been going for breakfast. Their Mediterranean plate is awesome. I cannot think of a better way to start the day than with this plate and a couple cups of coffee!

I really like this place. It has ambience, is quite enough to take your studies or friendly enough to hang out with friends over pastries and coffee. The outdoor area is great for summer and/or smokers and has a peaceful fountain to add to the atmosphere. The outside doesn't look promising, but once you get in, it's one of the only places in Las Cruces that I truly like to go back to often. The staff (both front and back) are very friendly and seem to enjoy their work. They also have a small "store" near the back that sells some nice foods/spices/novelties from overseas. I highly recommend it.

If you're a baklava fan...they must have had about 10 varieties. They have a pretty good variety of java too. I got the vanilla cheesecake which I'll probably get again next time. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which was delicious. A lot of patrons on laptops filled one section of the restaurant. Another side was full of regular customers and they have a pleasant outdoor patio area that was still heated at 8pm in Las Cruces. International Delights was a nice find for wifi and good eats/drinks.

pretty alright place, chill environment to lounge in and the food is different from Las Cruces norm - never have i ever had to look so hard for a Falafel. Its nice place to go hang out with pals and do homework while sipping on a tea, coffee or just enjoying some dessert. the Falafel by the way, needed a little help. Still a nice place to visit to get out of the "norm". I believe it is also the only place to enjoy a hookah in this town, if you don't own one yourself; Although, I have never asked to try one... yet, so they may just be decoration. half the cafe is also a grocery store for your eclectic middle-eastern treat needs, if you wanna attempt the Baklava at home.

Went to the I.D. for lunch twice on the suggestion of a friend. The food is very good although the portions are not very big. The male in us left hungry both times! They have a nice selection on the menu, including desserts and coffee. The cakes are all brought in from a bakery. The Baklavas are all made in house although we did not have one. They have T.V.s in the restaurant for those who must watch and eat. Check out their grocery down the way...it is GREAT. A really nice selection of foods there. Would we go back there to eat? Maybe...maybe not. Santorini is our FAVORITE!

the food was standard middle eastern fare, nothing exciting or original, but filling. prices were a bit steep, but the food plentiful enough. the coffee was very coffee-like, the employees nice, and the patio, despite the not cockroach but cockroach sized bugs crawling everywhere and being next to an albertson's, provided a place to sit and watch the locals. it was okay. but i imagine it's leagues above anything else in las cruces.

I am in town for business and was looking for a nice cafe for lunch and with free WiFi and was referred to International Delights Cafe. First off, the interior features decorations and decor from around the world including Hooka pipes for sale. The place had a good selection of international choices. I went with the Grilled Chicken salad and some hummus. The food was well flavored and it probably featured some of the best pita bread and hummus I have had it a while. More importantly, the restaurant offered a good choice of coffees, espresso, and Italian sodas as well as baked goods. Lastly, they feature a targeted selection of international packaged foods as well. There is a large outdoor patio as well that, from what I could tell was a haven for the few existing smokers left on the planet. The only negative was the location. I was surprised such a cool place was located in somewhat of a rundown shopping center next to a RentACenter. If it keeps costs low, not a problem I guess.

Nothing to rave about here. Then again, it wasn't terrible. For Las Cruces, it's a nice change of pace from what else is around there. True, a tad pricey for the quality and taste but, whatever! I walked in with a tea from some other place. I have only lived in big cities and have traveled quite a bit and I have NEVER been told to dispose of my 'outside' tea... until this place. I always make sure to look for the handy-dandy sign that reads "No Outside Food or Beverage". This place DOES NOT (or at least did not) have one!!!! I LOOKED before AND after! So, i walked in, excited to eat something other than South-West Mexican food, something containing VEGETABLES! And, interested in ordering coffee and a cold beverage. As i was staring at the menu deciding what green food i might want, a man who is insanely loyal to this place, who did not even look like a manager but, i could be wrong, told me i had to finish the beverage. I said, "oh sure, ok." and started to finish drinking my fresh brewed tea, while i stared at the menu. (I should add, that you order at the cash register, not a "sit-down" kind of place.) AND, there was no one else in line and only three other people already eating there. So, I'm deciding, sipping and deciding. The guy comes back and reaches towards me, sticking his hand in my personal space and states, "OH, I'll throw that away for you. there's no outside food allowed!" to that i responded, "I CAN DO IT MYSELF. THANK YOU!" and continue to sip my tea. I'm not sure what his problem was but, after all of that, my excitement dwindled. So, i chugged my tea, tossed it and placed my order with the cashier who had witnessed the whole thing. By the look on her face, it seems like that guy goes around acting like a douche and people just take it. BAH! I got the Greek salad and a water, hold the ice. The salad was nothing spectacular and the water was hydrating. And, the best part is the same guy had to deliver our food to the table. Luckily by the time he got there his attitude had a complete make over "Home Edition" style! Still, he didn't win me over but, i was over the whole thing, and reminded that, after all, i WAS eating a salad in New Mexico!!* And, it was romaine lettuce and not iceberg. yay! *In my travels, i've found that ordering a salad outside of California and Austin can be a mega let down.

Oh man, this place brings back some memories. I LOVE the Greek Salad there. It's pretty awesome. The prices are kinda high for LC, but still way cheaper than I'm used to, so I'll take it! The staff here has always been awesome and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to the area.

Another LC restaurant I miss. I always had the gyro sandwich with a Greek salad although the fries were tasty too. Nice and fresh with tasty sauce. Mmm. The desserts are fun too, but I'm a sucker for pretty food. Lots of good coffee and of course, Italian sodas. Free WiFi makes it a good study venue, there's usually soccer on TV too. I loved the little "market" in the back with lots of ingredients for Indian and Mediterranean food. They actually have Turkish Delight there! Being a Narnia fan, I just had to try some (I always thought it was chocolate until I saw it) and unfortunately was disappointed, although my husband enjoyed it. Trying out the various "yogurt drinks" and prune sodas in the refrigerator by the counter is also good group entertainment. :)

The food here is yummy! It's also healthy, which I've discovered is rare in Las Cruces. I ordered the salmon salad, with pita bread and hummus on the side. Everything was fresh, simple, and tasty. I will definitely be going back to try the rest of their menu!

First off, it's las cruces. Secondly, for Las cruces, it wasn't bad. I don't eat meat, so it takes off 90% of the menu. The hummus is good, tabule is heavy on the parsley, really heavy, baba ganouj is a little salty. The Arabic coffee is nice a strong. They have several varieties of baklava--but none with pistachios! Only had walnut, hazelnut, almond and mixed. The baklavas are more american style, cold and not layered:( If you are going to work on your lap-top, they do not have many outlets. the ones they do have are near tables for two--so don't go with lots of stuff/friends. Also there are not a lot of plugs, so you may not get any at all.

First I have to agree with another reviewer, outside of LC it wouldn't rate as high but by local standards this has been one of the best we have found. Our experience has been that the food is consistently fresh and of good quality. Service is very friendly. The price is perhaps a bit high but the quality of the food (fresh salad) by local standards makes that a non-issue. The grocery store is a bit pricey but there are a few interesting items to be had there. The patio area is nice and allows dogs which is a plus. Lots of folks like the WiFi but for us that's a negative because people camp out for the day and it can be very hard to get a table inside unless you get there early. We have stopped several times to eat lunch and gone on to someplace else because there was nowhere to sit. We don't even bother now if we cannot get there before noon on the weekend. 4-12 Editing review, dropping a star. Still a favorite of ours for the outdoor option which is rare here. Staff generally very good but lately it seems they are cutting corners a little. Our favorite has always been the Gyro plate which comes with a salad and choice of side. There was also always a little dish of cucumber salad of sorts but the last few times we have eaten there it seems to be no longer part of the meal. Worse, they used to have a couple of unpitted olives as part of the included Greek salad, then they moved to pitted ones. Pitting causes olives to degrade faster as they soak up more of the brine, get mushy and salty and lose the complex fruity flavor. A little detail and something I could have lived with but the last time we were there we got pre-sliced black olives like the sort that come in a can. There just isn't any good reason for those. Very disappointed with that. It still stays pretty OK by us but it's those details that really put the place on our list. 5-12 Had lunch here again this past weekend, the sliced black olives seem to be there to stay. OK can live with that but further disappointment in the form of the hummus. Never outstanding but always respectable. This past weekend it was pureed to a runny smoothness that would make wallpaper paste look textured and quite honestly had less flavor than I would imagine said paste to have. Really how can it not at least taste like the beans that are the base for this? Just seems like it was watered down. The gyro meat is still good but since they probably purchase it ready made how much can they mess that up. Just so sad to see the place slipping, would rather see an increase in price than a decrease in quality if that is what is needed as their costs increase. Not sure dog friendly is enough anymore.

The food is exceptionally fresh and flavorful. It has big screen TV (we watched the world cup soccer) but it isn't overly noisy. You can have a nice meal, watch TV and still visit with your friends. You do have to order at the counter but the food is brought to you hot from the kitchen (sometimes by the kitchen personnel with spatula in hand)-loved it. One of the surprises is the pastries. There is a huge showcase of anything you can imagine and I hear it is all hand made by a French pastry chef who also supplies Big Chair. Worth a visit just to buy pastries!

I would say this place actually deserves a 3.5, so too bad that's not an option. Stopped here one night while touring through the area. The place has a comfortable hang out vibe with some sit down family mixed in. Ordering at the counter proved a little unsuccessful for me because being slightly undecided I went back up twice to tack things onto my order (not to mention later for desert). My BF got the special, a lamb shank which he thought was a tad dry, while I ordered the salmon salad. Though it was fresh, it was hardly spiced at all, it needed salt and various other adornments. The salad had some nice capers, but not the feta cheese that came with my BF's salad--plus the tomatoes were so unripe they were nearly white inside . For starters we ordered the dolma and hummus. The appetizers seemed high priced as compared to the entrees, about 5 dollars per appetizer, but the creamy and rich hummus, the fluffy pitas, and the tasty olives were the best part of the meal. The Baklava, although tastey, seemed like they lacked the buttery taste they should have, kind of dry on top and too wet on the bottom. The pistachio treats, i forget the name, were more on point. Had a good time there, has a lot of potential. Could use some more menu items for non meat lovers like Musaka (eggplant tomato spread).

Consistently good food with good service. Pleasant atmosphere and the little grocery shop is something to keep an eye out for. The little outside area is a good place to sit, relax and enjoy (in good weather); though beware of the fountain splashing when it's windy. Oh and the cappuccino is pretty good as well AND they have wireless access.

International Delights is a very reliably good restaurant to go to for a quick lunch or dinner in the El Paseo area of Las Cruces. We've had good sandwiches, gyros, lamb plates (lamb is hard to come by otherwise in Las Cruces), greek salads, and there is a nice adjoining grocery store with middle-Eastern items. And there are many beautiful-looking desserts but you'll have to ask someone who eats dessert on a regular basis what they taste like! The atmosphere is casual. The owner of this establishment is extremely accommodating. I once had to arrange a large catered event, and International Delights was reasonably priced and very helpful with the whole thing.

Aight this place has a very cool and relaxed environment to enjoy your fine dining experience. They have a water fountain.....you can't go wrong with that. The food is sooooo freaking good and you can't forget about the coffee which is sexy !!!!! However, they did do away with the happy hour from 3-5 I heard.... So very sad.

Great atmosphere and pretty decent food. Dishes are consistently good, prepared with the same quality every time I've been there. For the most part, my favs are hummus and the chicken kabob plate. Delish. I've tried other dishes as well and haven't been disappointed yet.
